Goo.gl – Great New URL Shortener from Google
Who else but Google could bring us this great new URL shortener. In the tradition of sites like Tiny URL and bit.ly, Google steps into the arena with goo.gl. It’s open. It’s free. Anyone can use it to easily shorten long URLs into a more manageable handful of characters. If you have a Google account (also free) you can track usage statistics on your shortened URLs. Nice! This really is worth a look.
Omega Trendz – Future Vintage!
There is always a lot of discussion about the meaning, or at least the date range, of the term vintage when it is applied to clothing. Of course, the real meaning of the word actually has to do with the yield of wine or grapes from a vineyard or district during one season. It is more loosely applied to be the year of production of a high quality wine. In the vintage clothing and accessories field it tends to refer to any surviving clothing, hats, scarves, belts, bags and purses, shoes, jewelry and other accessories that are older than 20 (some say 30) years.
Good sellers of vintage clothing and accessories (VCA) are always on the watch for extra special finds and typically work to keep up as new trends finally reach the age to be included in the term vintage. These days there is a growing following of vintage items and may modern pieces are being styled to be like, or otherwise interpret, styles of the past. But, looking at it from the other direction, all styles of today will someday be vintage.
A great place to see new trendy styles that are likely to work there way into the higher end vintage stores of the not-so-distant future would be Omega Trenz. Their website offers an exciting range of contemporary, trendy, junior fashions. Worth a look!
Professional Help Promoting Your Business
Running an online business is difficult for many. Dealing with all the things necessary to get your items online — choosing inventory, selecting a selling site, finding sources, purchasing stock, writing listings, and more. And then, after all of this, there is no guarantee customers will actually find you, even on the larger selling sites.
Many sellers go through all the effort to get their items listed and then, as if the job was done, they sit back and wait for the sales. I read a post today from a seller who was asking how to have the patience to wait for sales to come.
Successful sellers know that it isn’t patience you need, it’s action. Action — promoting your business, your listings, posting on forums, participating in groups — all of that and more can help bring visitors to your listings, your store, your website. And visitors turn into customers when they see, like, and want, the items you are selling.
No visitors, no customers. It’s pretty much that simple.
Vintage Clothing Sellers knows that it may be simple, basic, but it is still difficult for most of us to do. It takes too much time or it costs too much and there is too much to learn that isn’t really what we signed up for. We want to be sellers, not promoters. So how do we get it done?
We could hire a professional but that can cost hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars a month. It’s great for huge operations with tens of thousands of items in inventory but what about the small seller with a few dozen, or a few hundred, items at any one time? They can’t afford the price of most professional packages.
Vintage Clothing Sellers is now offering a package that combines the needs of participating members in order to apply professional search engine optimization, social media marketing, and web marketing techniques to the entire group, thus cutting costs so as to be affordable for anyone.

Places To Sell Vintage Online
Online vintage clothing sellers are always looking for good places to list their items. eBay used to be the leader but there are many other choices today. Etsy, primarily a crafts and craft supplies venue has become a strong place for vintage clothing and accessories sellers. Ruby Lane, thought of by many as an antiques mall is also a good choice. With a specific focus on the vintage clothing and accessories market, Main Street Vintage, one of the Main Street Mall Online collection of virtual malls, is a solid choice for many sellers in the vintage clothing arena.
